Props for Brand Sessions: Add Visuals to Tell Your Story

Props can be a great way to add some personality and visual interest to a branding session. Bringing the right props can help communicate your brand message and showcase your unique style. Here are some tips for what props I recommend bringing to a branding session:

1. Think about your brand message: When choosing props, it’s important to consider your brand message and the story you want to tell. Are you trying to communicate a specific emotion or feeling? Do you want to showcase a specific product or service? By thinking about your brand message, you can choose props that support that message and help tell your story.

2. Consider your brand colors: If your brand has specific colors, try to incorporate them into your props. This can help reinforce your brand identity and make your photos more cohesive.

3. Choose props that are relevant: Your props should be relevant to your brand and the story you’re trying to tell. For example, if you’re a fitness brand, you might bring workout equipment or athletic clothing. If you’re a food brand, you might bring ingredients or cooking utensils.

4. Keep it simple: While props can be a great way to add visual interest, it’s important not to overdo it. Too many props can be distracting and take away from your message. Choose a few key props that support your brand message and use them strategically.

5. Bring backup props: Just like with outfits, it’s always a good idea to bring backup props in case something doesn’t work out. This can save you a lot of stress and ensure that your branding session runs smoothly.

Some examples of props you could consider bringing to a branding session might include:

  • Product samples
  • Books or magazines related to your brand or industry
  • Plants or flowers
  • Artwork or posters
  • Sports equipment or workout gear
  • Cooking utensils or ingredients
  • Technology devices, such as laptops or smartphones
  • Mug, tumbler, water bottle (branded is even better!)
  • Tools of your trade (what is something you use every day? Bring that!)

Bringing the right props to a branding session can help communicate your brand message and showcase your unique style. By considering your brand message, choosing relevant props, and keeping it simple, you can create a visually interesting and cohesive branding session. Remember to bring backup props just in case, and have fun getting creative with your brand!
