Getting a little personal in this post today…

I remember the moment when I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes my freshman year of college and realizing my dream of having 4 babies was probably not going to happen. David and I thought we were done after two and yet at each doctor appointments my obgyn and endocrinologist would say “if you decide to have another…” like it was doable.

We have struggled with secondary infertility and suffered two miscarriages on our journey, which meant we got a little extra help (yay, clomid) getting pregnant with our last three babies, managing blood sugars while pregnant isn’t easy (especially for this girl who maybe gets a little obsessive over “perfect” levels), and I’m feeling so much older this pregnancy but I wouldn’t trade any of it because we have our amazing children.

The blessing of knowing my childhood dream is coming true in less than two months. I will have 4 children entrusted to us to raise and I’m all in my feels today.

Baby boy, we can’t wait to hold you. 💙
