Finding the perfect location for your family photos is about more than just a pretty background, it’s about finding a place where your family feels like themselves. Whether you’re a group of adventurous explorers or professional couch snugglers, the location sets the stage for the stories we’re going to tell.

Here is a breakdown of the four popular location styles to help you decide which one fits your family’s vibe.

1. Your Home

There is truly nothing more “lifestyle” than a session in your own space. This is where your real life happens, and it’s often where kids feel the most comfortable.

  • The vibe: Intimate, cozy, and 100% authentic.
  • Why choose it: You don’t have to worry about the weather, and everything you need (snacks, changes of clothes, favorite toys) is right there. We can capture memories of you baking together, reading in the “big bed,” or just playing in the backyard.

2. Nature

If your kids have energy to burn and love to explore, a nature-based session is usually the way to go. Think tall golden grass, tree covered pathways, or the sparkling reflection of a lake.

  • Why choose it: Nature provides a gorgeous, ever-changing backdrop that allows for plenty of running, jumping, and “treasure hunting.” The “Golden Hour” light (just before sunset) looks absolutely magical in these locations.

3. Downtown
